Connect your Meta ads to AI (Meta's official MCP)

Meta released its official MCP server — manage campaigns, reports and diagnostics of your ad account straight from Claude, paired with RoyLead.

Updated on July 17, 2026

Meta released its official MCP server for ads: a direct connection between your ad account and an AI assistant like Claude. From the chat you can read real campaign performance, create and edit ads, diagnose pixels and signals — without going through Ads Manager.

It's a connection between Meta and your AI assistant: RoyLead is not involved and sees nothing. But by connecting both connectors in the same chat (RoyLead + Meta) you get the full picture: the AI sees leads and ROI on RoyLead and spend, delivery and results straight from your Meta account.

💡 The service is in open beta (since April 2026) and free for now. It works with any MCP-compatible AI client: Claude.ai, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Perplexity…

What you can do once connected

Meta's server exposes tools in seven areas:

  • Reports and insights: campaign performance, breakdowns, spend trends.
  • Creation and management: create and edit campaigns, ad sets and ads in natural language.
  • Catalogs: create a catalog, add products, troubleshoot feeds.
  • Signals and datasets: pixel/CAPI health and quality, where to fix your tracking.
  • Help: search Meta's Business Help Center articles.
  • A/B tests and conversion lift: create and manage tests and studies, read the results.
  • Activity log: the account change history, like in Ads Manager.

How to connect (Claude.ai)

Step 1 — Add the connector

On claude.ai go to Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. As the URL enter:

https://mcp.facebook.com/ads

The name is up to you (e.g. "Meta Ads").

Step 2 — Sign in with Facebook

On first use Claude sends you to the Facebook login: sign in with the account that manages your ads and authorize access. No developer app, no tokens, no API setup — authentication is the regular Meta Business login.

Step 3 — Try it

Open a chat and ask, for example:

  • "How is my campaign X doing over the last 7 days?"
  • "Why did this ad set stop spending?"
  • "How healthy is my pixel?"

On other clients (Claude Code, Perplexity, ChatGPT) the process is the same: add https://mcp.facebook.com/ads as an MCP server and complete the Facebook login when prompted.

Using it together with RoyLead

The powerful combo is having both connectors active in the same chat:

  • The RoyLead connector gives the AI your business data: leads, real ROI per landing and campaign, domains, landing pages.
  • The Meta connector gives the AI your ad account data: spend, delivery, creatives, signals.

You can then ask questions neither covers alone, like "which ad set is bringing me the leads with the best ROI on RoyLead?" — the AI crosses the numbers from both sources.

Careful: it can also make changes

Meta's server is not read-only: the AI can create and modify campaigns, budgets and ads. Before giving operational commands ("optimize the budgets", "turn off underperforming ad sets"), make sure you understand exactly what it's about to do — reading costs nothing, touching budgets does. A good approach: first ask what it would do, verify, then confirm the action.
